View of the whipstaff area. 26th March, 2000. Back in the harbour, a volunteer Duyfken guide shows us around the whipstaff area of the aftcastle. When the Duyfken is sailing, the helmsman stands at the rear of the aftcastle and watches the sails from the 5 small upper window apertures visible in Node 26. The two long poles are the bilge pump levers. The door leads to the Captain's Cabin.
