Preparing the mizzen sail. View from the Aftcastle. 26th March, 2000. Sailing east towards Fremantle, a group of passengers are preparing the mizzen sail. Five small windows rise up from the aftcastle deck, giving the helmsman a (very limited) view forwards. His arm hangs casually out of one of the windows. Ahead, you can see the mainsail (Groot Zeil), and the low, horizontal seam which separates it from the smaller main bonnet sail (Groot Bonnet).
