Happy Easter Everyone!
How I made them: The Easter Eggs were built
on a Power Tower Pro 225 Macintosh Clone, using KPT Bryce 2.1 and
Painter 4.0.3. I adapted preset textures and patterns from Bryce
and Painter for most of the surface treatments. I built the chocolate
egg textures from scratch using Painter's Marbling system and the
Distorto brush. The textures and patterns were applied onto a basic
egg shape and rendered out from Bryce. I built 3 views of each egg,
at -30, 0, and 30 degree increments, so the eggs could be hosed
from the nozzle with a 'teeter-totter' appearance while retaining
the correct lighting. The sets of picts were then turned into nozzle
files in Painter.
These are all 2-Rank nozzles. To get the "teeter-totter"
effect, set Rank 2 to sequential. To remove the "teeter-totter",
set Rank 2 to None, and all the eggs will stand upright
only. More hints on the stuff in the "Notes
for Use" section.
