NOTES
FOR USE:
1. Access these Nozzle Libraries in Painter
by selecting "Load Library" from the dropdown
menu at the bottom of the Painter palette. Make up your own sets
or add individual nozzle files to your regular nozzle palette
using the Nozzle Mover.
2. Image Hose choices: The nozzle controls in the
later versions of Painter are different and you need to experiment
a bit with the Image Hose options to see which of the variables
such as "Linear-Size/P" or "Spray-Angle/B"
etc gives you the result you want with each nozzle. Some you will
want a string of, some you'll want to scatter in a random spray,
some you'll want to place individually...
3. Brush Controls:
(a) Size and Spacing. Altering settings such as
Size and Spacing will help to spray a closely-spaced
rope or a widely spaced string of baubles or tinsel, for example.
(b) The Expression panel has choices to control the way
2 or 3 rank nozzles can be controlled.
For example: The multicoloured stars nozzle (a 2-rank nozzle)
from the Stars collection. Rank 1 controls colour, Rank 2 controls
size.
Set the Image Hose to a Linear nozzle setting,
and the Expression settings to Rank 1=Direction
and Rank 2=None, and you can draw a string of stars,
all the same size and colour in one direction. When you change
direction, the size stays the same, BUT YOU GET A DIFFERENT
COLOUR.
If you reverse those Rank options, so that Rank 1=None
and Rank 2=Direction, you will get a string of stars
all the same colour (green), BUT A DIFFERENT SIZE when you change
direction.
If you make Rank1=Random and Rank 2=Direction,
then you get a multicoloured string of stars which changes size
when you change direction.
You have to be prepared to play. Don't forget to check the
Nozzle Scale setting if the nozzle looks fuzzy or soft
- work at 100% or less to get best result...
